Mark Froese brings decades of experience in operations, leadership, and ministry to Whispering Pines. With a background spanning nonprofit service, operations management, and church leadership, Mark is passionate about using his experience to help strengthen the mission and shape the future of Whispering Pines.

Patty Rodriguez,

Board Member

A third-generation native of Sparks, Nevada, Patty has spent her life rooted in community and service. Her professional journey includes 20 years in ministry and a decade in Human Resources and customer service, work that has deepened her commitment to supporting and guiding others. Patty and her husband, Michael have been married for 28 years and have two adult children. When not working, you’ll find Patty outdoors—walking, hiking, and enjoying the beauty of the world around us.

John Busch,

Co-Spiritual Director

John Busch enjoys reading, woodworking, gardening, exploring the outdoors, fly fishing, and, most recently, art. But his greatest passion, alongside his wife Elaine, has been helping bring healing to the wounds of people’s souls for nearly 40 years.

With an M.S. in Biblical Counseling, John’s heart is to help people experience freedom, joy, and inner peace through a deep, abiding relationship with Christ.

Bill Shein,

Vice-President

Bill Schein brings decades of ministry, leadership, and global missions experience to Whispering Pines. With a heart for encouraging others and strengthening their faith, Bill is passionate about helping create opportunities for people to grow, recharge, and connect more deeply with Christ.

Traci Froese,

Co-Director

Affectionately known as Nona, Traci brings warmth, hospitality, and a nurturing spirit to Whispering Pines. With more than 30 years of ministry experience and a background in life coaching, wellness, and biblical counseling, she has a heart for caring for people - body, soul, and spirit; and helping make Whispering Pines a place of genuine rest, healing, and renewal.

Elaine Busch,

Co-Spiritual Director

Elaine Busch has been involved in healing prayer and soul care ministry since 1998. Trained in healing prayer and certified in Spiritual Direction, Elaine has a heart for creating safe spaces where people can experience the healing, freedom, and restoration found in Christ.
